MOVE Frankfurt: 16 years of techno, now with AI-driven audience intelligence
MOVE, Frankfurt's long-running techno series at Tanzhaus West, celebrated its 16-year anniversary with Future Demand. Across 11 club nights in 12 months, the team matched each line-up with the right audience sub-cluster - from AIROD to the anniversary itself.

Situation
MOVE is one of Frankfurt’s defining techno institutions - a recurring night at the Tanzhaus West on Gutleutstraße, built around a distinct “Signature Sound” curated across 16 years of programming. Recent line-ups have ranged from AIROD and BIIANCO / VOÏAGER to the crew’s own resident DJs, with seasonal specials like the 16-year anniversary and the winter-season kick-off.
Challenge
Long-running club brands live on a contradiction: they need a core audience that trusts the curation, but every single night also has to sell on its own terms. Targeting “Tanzhaus West” visitors on Meta is too narrow; targeting “Frankfurt techno” is too broad. MOVE needed a way to identify the specific sub-audience for each night - industrial, melodic, hard - and speak to them in their language.
Solution with Future Demand
The MOVE programme runs through Future Demand. Each new date syncs automatically, and the Taste Cluster engine reads the line-up to identify the right audience slice. Ad creative is generated and tested automatically, and optimisation runs throughout the campaign without hands-on management.
Results
Across 11 MOVE nights in 12 months, the team sold 1,782 tickets at a spend level that fits the economics of an independent club series. The flagship 16-year anniversary drove 446 tickets alone, while winter-kick-off and the AIROD date both cleared three-figure ticket counts - proving that programmatic ad tooling can work as hard for a recurring club series as it does for festivals.
Conclusion
MOVE is the argument for bringing performance marketing into underground club culture. With Taste Cluster-driven audience identification and automated creative testing, a long-running series can honour its curation while reliably filling the floor - no agency, no dedicated paid-social hire, no guesswork.
